Health

Enugwuabo is a health conscious community. This is probably because traditionally, health and wellbeing is understandably important to every farmer due to the nature of their occupation that requires a lot of physical activity, but also historically, because like many communities it suffered the effect of many communicable diseases prior to the arrival of modern medicine. The community now has a Primary Health Center and a Cottage Hospital that serve the health need of the people, along with those of neighboring communities. Enugwuabo has produced much renowned medical personnel like Late Dr. A.E. Mba, Late Dr. U.S. Okeke. Professor Sam Ike as well as many other doctors, nurses and allied health professionals making their mark locally and internationally.

There is now a 2 day annual health fair that brings together indigenous and visiting health professionals to offer free investigation, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health conditions for members of the community.
