As a historical farming community, our people have always been drawn to fitness and athleticism and this has been manifest in sports which serve to both distinguish the individual and entertain. From traditional wrestling to modern competitive sports Enugwuabo has produced various notable individuals who have achieved national and international success. In boxing for example, Ngozika Ekwelum became a national heavyweight champion. Enugwuabo Boys Secondary School now Community Secondary School won the Awka Zonal football cup for secondary schools in the old Anambra State in the early eighties.
